Go Gators!

Two years ago I moved to Atlanta. With a new city came a lot of new things - my own apartment, my first "real job", new friends annnnnd Georgia fans. Thaaat's right.

My whole life - I was groomed to be a Gator. Brainwashed by my parents at a very early age, I can remember my mom singing "lullaby's" that consisted of "We are the Boys from Ol' Florida" and "Alma Mater" as we would slip to sleep at night. You can just imagine their surprise when I broke the news that I wanted to join the Clemson Family instead of the Gator Nation my senior year in high school. That being said, I never lost my love for the "Orange and Blue".

Well - now I am in the heart of "Dawg Country" - most of my closest friends in Atlanta attended The University of Georgia and while I love them dearly - the last Saturday in October always proves to be quite a memorable day for all us - a "friendly rivalry". Ha! Two years ago I made a bet with a UGA alumn/friend. Judging by the score from 2008 - I won - and last year we went double or nothing - and I won again. We have dabbled with so many wagers - noting that the concequence for the loser needs to be tasteful while at the same time - extraordinarly embarrasing. I have racked my brain for a hysterical act that would go down in the books - but want to throw it out to you all. Do you have any ideas? Think outside the box - go crazy!

Go Gators! Chomp Chomp!

Gifts

Some of the group - yea - we love Jesus and Braves baseball! :)

The Lord just works in absolutely, wonderful ways – He is forever weaving the perfect threads together to create the most beautiful tapestry for our lives - uniquely designed for each one of us.
It is one of the most precious aspects of our faith - that IT IS so unique – a delicate bond with Him. With this relationship, comes specific gifts that our Father has armed each of us with, to use for His glory - to minister to those around us. As a child, my grandmother sat me down and together we wrote out everything that God had uniquely given me. I keep that list with me today, and over the past few months the concept of truly incorporating those gifts into my day-to-day life has really been on my heart. I recently started a small group through my church and I am in awe of how incredible every single girl is! Each one has a precious heart for the Lord and brings something exceptional to the group as a whole. It is just so awesome to see how the Lord deliberately places people in our lives for the better – each one of these girls is just that – the sweetest of sisters in Christ each with a unique gift that the Lord is using through them every day – they are truly treasured blessings.

A Birthday!! :)

Happy Birthday to one of my very favorite people in the whole world!

Friends are definite gifts from God. I am so thankful that Nugs was born and that God blessed my life (and so many others) with her precious friendship!
